Personalità e differenze individuali: Concomitanti psicofisiologici e cognitivo-comportamentali

Personality and Individual Differences: Psychophysiological and cognitive-behavioral correlates

One of the main research lines is focused on testing predictive validity of temperamental traits conceptualized in Eysenck (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Psychoticism), Zuckerman (Sensation Seeking) and Gray (Systems Behavioral inhibition and activation) personality theories. This is done in terms of behavioral, autonomic and electrocortical responses. Important aspect of this research is the study of individual differences in emotional processing and the influence of personality traits. Main efforts are devoted to identify neuropsychophysiological processes most responsible for and as potential precursors of behavioral disorders.
Another line of research is represented by the study of individual differences in hypnotic susceptibility and suggestibility and  pain modulation in hypnosis.
